We are proud to announce three new events of ITF World Tennis Tour 2019 that will be hosted at Vilas Academy
21 January 2019 to 27 January 2019.
28 January 2019 to 03 February 2019.
04 February 2019 to 10 February 2019.
In March 2017, the ITF announced reforms to entry-level professional tennis including the introduction of a new ITF ranking system and the launch of the ITF World Tennis Tour (to replace the Pro Circuit and what has been known so far as the Transition Tour).
The aims of the reforms are to provide a clearer and more effective pathway from Junior to professional tennis and to ensure that prize money at ITF World Tennis Tour tournaments are better targeted to potentially enable more players to make a living from the professional game.
Composition of the singles main draw and qualifying draw at ITF World Tennis Tour $15,000 tournaments:
Main Draw (32 draw)
Direct Acceptances (minimum 17), accepted in the following order:
Qualifying Draw (24 draw)
If fewer than 5 Top 100 Juniors apply, the remaining reserved places will revert to Direct Acceptances.
Special Exempts and Junior Exempts (i.e. places available from the Junior Exempt project for Junior players finishing the year in the Top 20), if needed, will come out of the Direct Acceptance allocation.
A key principle behind the new structure is that success at one level is rewarded with opportunity at a higher level. This is achieved by the new structure offering reserved places in draws specifically for the best performers at the previous level.
Each ITF World Tennis Tour $15,000 tournament (men and women) will reserve up to 5 places in the main draw for Top 100 Juniors. In the past, all juniors would start their professional careers in qualifying like all other players. Being a higher ranked Junior offered little benefit.
We organise pre qualify tournaments every week before the ITF tournaments
